Development of Sensors for Monitoring of Partial Discharges in UHF Band
EU projects
Development of Sensors for Monitoring of Partial Discharges in UHF BandTES in cooperation with the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Electrical Engineering (DTEE) of Brno University of Technology has developed innovative sensors for monitoring of partial discharges in high power oil transformers. The system for detection of partial discharges is one of the basic elements of transformer condition monitoring. The system providing sensing and processing of electromagnetic signal in the UHF band (300-3000 MHz) is one of the most advanced system and in addition to the detection it enables space location of the discharge occurrence. The sensor include actively controlled electronic unit for the pre-processing of the signal and signal transfer to the main system unit. The sensors are designed with regard to climatic, electromagnetic and mechanical resistance.
The project was co-financed by European Union.
