Operation Support – Measuring and Testing

Characteristic

Within technical support of the NPP operation we provide measuring of electrical and technological parameters, development of test programmes, and implementation of testing programmes. As a part of such services we provide evaluation of operational tests.

Parameter testing

We provide measurement of plant process parameters and recording of parameter changes during transients. For this purpose we use a portable self-contained testing unit.
For data acquisition, recording and processing, we use the Mobile Testing Unit (MMU). The unit can simultaneously monitor up to 16 parameters at the sampling frequency of 6 kHz (if only one parameter is monitored, the sampling frequency increases to 100 kHz).

We provide measurement of the following parameters:

Electrical current and voltage
Temperature
Pressure
Flow rate
Vibrations
Acceleration

The MMU unit can be connected to electrical output of standard sensors, instrument transformers, converters or secondary gauges permanently installed at the measurement point. If no standard instrumentation is available, we use our own sensors and converters.

We can transform the non-standard output voltage values to levels appropriate for the MMU unit.

Simultaneously with measuring the parameters, we can also record logical state of technological system components. All the acquired data are displayed in charts and mathematically processed using the in-house software tools GRAF and LOGA ( GRAF a LOGA) .

Testing programm development and implementation

We provide complete services related to the following equipment:

Rotating machines

Generators
Electric motors
Pumps
Hydraulic and power blocks

Transformers, including:

Control logic
Electrical protections
Control circuits

Testing is mainly focused on:

Verification and documentation of a proper equipment function
Detection of abnormal equipment behaviour
Identification of abnormality causes and suggestion for corrective measures

If required by the customer, we can provide complete services related to the equipment testing as:

Proposing measurement points
Development of a measurement procedures
Test implementation
Analysis of test results
Preparation of a test report

We process the test results using the in-house SW tools GRAF a LOGA .
